Exceptional Facilities

At the core of our Computer Science courses lies the state-of-the-art £32.5 million Computational Foundry, housing cutting-edge teaching and research facilities. These include specialised labs like the Vision and Biometric Lab, Maker Lab, Theory Lab, Cyber Security/Networking Lab, User Lab, and Visualisation Suite.

Our fully networked laboratories support both Windows and Linux operating systems, offering a diverse range of software, from programming languages like Java, C#, and the .NET framework to C, C++, Haskell, and Prolog. All software is open source, freely available, or provided.

To ensure a consistently high standard, our laboratories undergo regular upgrades, ensuring that equipment is never more than three years old, and rarely more than two.
