The University of Surrey’s Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences (FEPS) is delighted to announce its new PhD studentship programme for 2024. We are seeking outstanding PhD candidates to undertake fully funded studentships for the duration of 3.5 years.

GENEROUS FUNDING PACKAGES AND ELIGIBILITY

We offer generous funding packages, sector-leading researcher development training and mentoring, and dedicated employability support. Whatever your aspirations, Surrey is where research careers are launched and nurtured. FEPS is offering innovative research projects in topics spanning the full breadth of our research areas.

We are offering the UKRI standard stipend (currently £18,622 per year) with an additional bursary of £1,700 per year for full 3.5 years for exceptional candidates.  In addition, a research, training and support grant of £3,000 over the project is also offered. Full home or overseas tuition fees (as applicable) will be covered.

Open to any UK or international candidates. Up to 30% of our UKRI funded studentships can be awarded to candidates paying international rate fees. Find out more about eligibility.
