As a research-led University, Surrey’s outstanding contributions benefit society as a whole and address major global challenges. Join our vibrant, enthusiastic and forward-thinking community, and together we can shape the future.
Inspiring academics
The University of Surrey attracts internationally-renowned academics who are recognised as experts in their fields. You can find out about our academics, including our postgraduate programme leaders and postgraduate research directors, on the individual course pages for our taught courses.
Library and Learning Centre
Our £16m Library and Learning Centre is the academic hub of the University, sitting at the heart of our campus. In addition to hosting multi-million pound collections of online information resources that are easily accessible both on and off campus, our Library houses hundreds of thousands of books and journals, as well as audio and image collections to explore. The Library is open 24 hours a day during semester time and has long opening hours during vacations.
A truly international community
Surrey is proud to be one of the most culturally diverse universities in the country. Whether you’re from the UK or further afield, you’ll live, work and study with people from different backgrounds to your own. Our student body is made up of individuals from 140 different countries, so you’ll be part of a vibrant international community that exposes you to brand new ways of thinking. Specialist staff in our International Office are here to help you throughout the application process – from advising on choosing the right course to applying for a visa and preparing for your first few weeks at Surrey.
Fees and financial support
At Surrey, we understand that a degree is an investment in your future, so we want to help you achieve the best possible value for money. Our taught course fees are payable for each academic year or each stage of your course, and students are liable to pay revised fees annually for the duration of the course.
We also ensure that we provide financial support to masters students who might need it by offering both merit-based and means-tested bursaries and scholarships.
To help with some of the course costs, we’ll be providing postgraduate students with free, digital copies of essential textbooks. This is part of our commitment to making university more accessible, enabling you to learn in a more digital environment.
