The Midlands Integrative Biosciences Training Partnership (MIBTP) is a doctoral training partnership between the Universities of Warwick, Birmingham, Leicester, Aston & Harper Adams. The MIBTP has an ambitious vision to deliver innovative, world class research across the Life Sciences to boost the growing bio-economy in the Midlands and across the UK.

PhD studentship projects are focused in vital research areas such as sustainable agriculture and food, understanding the rules of life, renewable resources and clean growth and integrated understanding of health and use interdisciplinary and quantitative approaches to biology.

We welcome applications from high-achieving students from a wide range of academic backgrounds including biology, chemistry, mathematics, and computer science.

Included in the studentship:

  • Cost of fees*
  • Stipend of at least £15,609
  • Generous consumables and conference / travel budgets
  • A laptop computer (to be returned on completion of the PhD)
