The March 2019 deadline has now passed.

The Migraine Trust invites applications from academics for a PhD Studentship Award, to support a three-year studentship commencing in Autumn 2019.

The award is intended to; support a PhD candidate’s early career in migraine research, enable an institution with experienced migraine researchers to recruit a science graduate to support their research, and expand the existing scientific knowledge of migraine.

We will prioritise applications for research that:

– Advances knowledge of the causes and mechanisms of migraine

– Advances migraine diagnosis, treatment and prevention

– Actively involves the public, especially patients and those around them.

Applicants must provide evidence of public and patient involvement and a clear path for the research to benefit people affected by migraine. We expect study to inform further evidence-based research into the condition and lead to improvements to treatment and prevention in the future.
