Description

MSc Courses at the School of Nursing and Midwifery

Our MSc programmes are your entry route through to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), in one of four pathways – Adult Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing or Midwifery. Graduates in any discipline with recent health care experience can apply for one of our two-year Nursing programmes, or three-year Midwifery programme. Studying in the South West, practice placements are in a variety of settings throughout, both within hospitals and the community.

On completion you will progress on to a rewarding career and work in a range of healthcare settings nationally or internationally. Once you know a career in Nursing or Midwifery is for you, and you are ready for advanced level study, then join us on this tailor-made programme which is designed to recognise the skills that graduates already have and build on these.

Nursing and Midwifery students to receive £5,000 payment a year

The government is issuing nursing and midwifery students on courses from 2020 a payment of at least £5,000 a year, which they will not have to pay back. A further £3,000 of funding a year is available for eligible students.
