The Medical Microbiology Master’s programme offers students the theoretical knowledge of how pathogens cause infectious diseases in humans, alongside practical skills that are directly transferrable into their future careers.

Rather than being confined to a lecture room listening to experts talk, students spend more than half of their study time in a microbiology laboratory, gaining hands-on experience.

Students can take the theory they learn and apply it during practical sessions that reflect a real-life laboratory situation.

The practical skills developed during the MSc will be applicable in hospitals, research labs, academia and even in industry.
