This course focuses on the current global threats to our ecosystems that require innovative solutions. As an ecologist, you will be equipped with both the latest theoretical and practical knowledge. The crucial task of observing, comprehending, and predicting natural phenomena, as well as understanding the behaviour of taxa and ecosystems, plays a pivotal role in addressing the challenges our planet encounters.

Get hands-on with a range of advanced software and technological tools used in ecological modelling and geospatial analysis, including remote sensing and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

The academic team that facilitates this course works on conservation initiatives in several countries and has established research links in South America (Mexico, Brazil), South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Mauritius and Europe.
