Funding your postgraduate study is a really important part of your decision making. Our multimillion-pound postgraduate scholarship fund includes:

  • Full awards to support doctoral researchers
  • Over 100 awards for students with a First or 2.1 degree undertaking a taught Master’s at our locations in the UK and Europe
  • Funding for Kent’s alumni and 2021 graduates
  • Scholarships specifically for overseas students

Arts and Humanities: Christine and Ian Bolt Scholarship, scholarship value of up to £10,000 (deadline 16 May)

Kent Business School: Kent Business School Excellence Scholarship, scholarship value of up to £5,000 (deadline for 2021 entry 31 July)

Kent Law School: LLM Academic Excellence Scholarship for UK students, scholarship value of up to £2,000 (deadline 31 July)

International Students: International Scholarships for Taught Masters Students, scholarship value of up to £3,000 (deadline 31 May)

School of Politics and International Relations: Brussels School of International Studies Scholarship (Postgraduate Taught), scholarship value of €50,000 (deadline 9 April)

Subjects and Locations

Postgraduate study is offered at our UK campuses in Canterbury and Medway, both within easy reach of London, as well as at our specialist European centres: The Brussels School of International Studies and the Paris School of Arts and Culture. Kent offers programmes across the arts and humanities, social sciences, medical studies, and science and technology. We also supervise external PhDs. We are renowned for the quality of our research: in the most recent Research Excellence Framework, 97% of our research was judged to be of our international quality.

Deadlines

Deadlines do vary and to apply for any funding you must first make a formal application for study at the University of Kent. Applications may be considered later than this deadline depending on school or university allocation processes; further information will be available on school or Division websites.
