We can give you the academic guidance you need to do this. If you study a PhD or MPhil with us, you’ll work with two supervisors whose experience is most relevant to your field of study, with the option of additional staff members if needed. This way, you’ll benefit from a diverse network of support and expertise from day one.

Art and Design MPhil, PhD
At ARU, you’ll be part of the renowned Cambridge School of Art, founded in 1858. This means you’ll benefit from our growing research community and have the opportunity to collaborate with other students at PhD level.
 

Share your research
If you study your PhD or MPhil with us, you may have the chance to take on teaching responsibilities and organise research events, so you can develop your work through face-to-face debate and critical analysis. And we host regular faculty and departmental seminars, to give you the opportunity to share your ideas in our safe and supportive academic community. You’ll also be part of a department that’s world-leading for our research, according to the Research Excellence Framework 2014.
