The November 2017 deadline has now passed. This entry will be updated as soon as details of the next round of funding are announced

Our Postgraduate Fellowships (formerly called Junior Research Training Fellowships) enable outstanding graduates to obtain a postgraduate research qualification (MPhil or PhD), giving them the required skills to ultimately undertake an independent career in stroke research.
We specifically welcome applications from Nurses and Allied Health Professionals; however, those conducting applied research in the area of stroke will also be considered eligible. Please contact the Research Office if you are unsure of, or have any queries regarding, your eligibility for this award.

Our fellowships will be awarded to named candidates only from departments that can demonstrate past excellence in stroke research and a currently active stroke research programme.

We require the host department to provide appropriate supervision and a research training programme suitable for equipping the fellow for a career in stroke research, and to enable them to obtain a post-graduate qualification.

Eligibility
Awards are tenable only at Universities, NHS Trusts, Statutory Social Care Organisations or other Research Institutions within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Duration
Three years full time. Fellowships may be taken up on a part-time, pro-rata basis but the minimum working hours would be equivalent to 0.6 WTE
