Psychology is the study of the mind and human behaviour in a systematic and scientific way. Enhance your employability and learn from expert academics on our new Psychology (Distance Learning) MSc course.

Our new programme is designed for you to take control of your own learning. Study online, either full-time or part-time, in your own time without attending campus.

You do not need prior experience in psychology to apply. We’ll help you develop the skills you need through a dedicated online student community. You’ll have access to bespoke study plans, pastoral care and study support from your own Personal Academic Tutor.

Develop specialist knowledge

Teaching will take the form of bite-size segments, so you can easily fit your studies into your everyday life. Learn through pre-recorded lectures and seminars, videos, podcasts, and other online resources.

You will develop an advanced understanding of key topics including:

• the historical and conceptual aspects of psychology
• cognitive and neurobiological psychology
• lifespan and social psychology
• individual differences
• psychological research methods
• mental health and psychological well-being

You will gain research experience and learn how to devise your own experiments. You’ll also design and conduct your own psychological research project, supervised by one of our expert academic members of staff.
