Specialist staff in our International Office are here to help you throughout the application process – from advising on choosing the right course to applying for a visa and preparing for your first few weeks at Surrey.

Fees and financial support

At Surrey, we understand that a degree is an investment in your future, so we want to help you achieve the best possible value for money. Our taught course fees  and research fees are payable for each academic year or each stage of your course, and students are liable to pay revised fees annually for the duration of the course.

We also ensure that we provide financial support to masters students who might need it by offering both merit-based and means-tested bursaries and scholarships.

To help with some of the course costs, we’ll be providing postgraduate students with free, digital copies of essential textbooks. This is part of our commitment to making university more accessible, enabling you to learn in a more digital environment.

We want to make sure we attract the best researchers. They are an integral part of the pioneering research that we carry out. We will be offering generous funding packages to outstanding prospective PhD students through our own funded studentships.
