The Crown Charity, Greenwich Hospital, is pleased to offer awards to assist students studying at the University of Greenwich. The scheme aims to alleviate the financial hardship of former Naval personnel who are registering to study for the MA International Maritime Policy or an MPhil (related to the improvement of Maritime Navigation) programme by providing awards of up to £3,000 per academic year.

Am I eligible?

In order to be eligible for this bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be a former Naval serviceman or woman (Priority will be given to those who have been discharged as wounded, injured or sick)
• Be accepted to study the MA International Maritime Policy programme or study for an MPhil related to the improvement of Maritime Policy (Bursary support will be awarded to students registered to complete an MPhil who will not be upgraded to a PhD programme)
• Be studying part or full-time (Part-time students will be pro-rata and payable to tuition fees only)
• Dissertations must contribute to an understanding or improvement of navigation
• Have a demonstrable low household income.
