We provide a creative environment to address research issues across health, social care and education. Our faculty brings together a range of professionals to engage in world-leading research and innovation to benefit both our students and staff. From nursing to early childhood education, social inclusion to child and family health, we're passionate about research that makes a difference.

Researchers in our faculty are involved in multiple collaborations with local, national and international agencies in the statutory and voluntary sectors. There are a number of international collaborations with partners for example in Israel, Ukraine, Canada, the United States of America, South Africa, Rwanda, Bulgaria and elsewhere. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework our research in nursing was rated as world-leading.

At present none of our courses have scholarships available for them but further information on funding options can be seen under the fees and funding tab on the course pages. Across the university we offer some funded PhD studentships which are advertised on our jobs website as they become available.
