UCL launches its new east London campus

UCL is the first of five world-leading institutions to open at East Bank, the UK’s new culture and innovation quarter.

The interdisciplinary campus is a direct response to the biggest challenges facing people and the planet.

It is our largest expansion in our almost 200-year history, and is designed to accelerate breakthroughs in areas including robotics and AI, ecology, sustainable cities, decarbonised transport, assistive technology, and global health.
