Masters Degree Description

Our MSc Environmental Management course offers a unique blend of the latest, research-informed environmental knowledge. This is combined with contemporary issues in strategic management, ethical enterprise and sustainability reporting.

You’ll gain the knowledge, skills and practical experience needed to lead meaningful sustainability transformation across a wide range of industries. This includes a deep understanding of global environmental challenges, developing the tools to respond effectively within business, policy and organisational contexts.

The course offers a diverse set of modules, allowing you to apply your learning to a range of real-world sustainability issues. Through case studies, collaborative projects and applied learning, you’ll graduate with expertise that is directly transferable to the workplace.

You’ll also engage in critical discussions around cultural contexts and global perspectives. This is increasingly valuable insight in today’s interconnected, international society.

Global climate policies are accelerating the evolution of more sustainable economies, driving the demand for green jobs worldwide. According to the Global Green Skills Report 2024, sustainability-skilled professionals are being hired at rates 72% above the national average. Plus, the need for green talent is growing twice as fast as the rate of supply.

Entry Requirements

An undergraduate degree of at least 2:2 Honours or equivalent. Exceptions may be possible for applicants who can demonstrate highly relevant work experience in industry over several years. A passion for environmental issues and sustainable development is key. Each application is considered on its own merit.

English requirements: IELTS 6.5, with no component below 5.5 in any category, or an equivalent accepted English qualification.
