Masters Degree Description

Understanding how the immune system works and then utilising this knowledge to manipulate immune responses and treat disease, are two of the most exciting areas of scientific research. They offer the potential to tackle infectious diseases, enhance treatments for cancer and develop therapies for autoimmune disorders. The Institute of Immunology and Immunotherapy has an array of leading researchers focused on delivering breakthroughs in these research areas.

Research within the Institute is focused in three areas:

  • Immune Regulation
  • Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy
  • Gut and Liver Inflammation

2:1 honours degree in a subject relevant to the research area you applying to.

English Language Requirements
You can satisfy our English language requirements in two ways:

  • by holding an English language qualification to the right level
  • by taking and successfully completing one of our English courses for international students

Please note IELTS requirements for Postgraduate Research programmes in the College of Medical and Dental Sciences are 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in any band.
