Our campus

We’ve created the ideal place for you to live and study. From historic buildings to new teaching and study facilities, we’ve transformed our beautiful Edgbaston campus close to Birmingham city centre. At the middle of it all, you’ll find the Green Heart that has 12 acres of lush parkland. It’s a unique and rejuvenating space where many of our students enjoy socialising, meeting, studying and performing.

Our programmes

With more than 600 taught programmes and a range of research opportunities to choose from, Birmingham is one of the most popular UK universities for postgraduate study.

Whatever your lifestyle, we’ve got the flexible study options to match. From part-time and distance learning, to microcredentials, short courses and overseas faculties, you’re sure to find the right programme for you.

Masters-level taught programmes

Choose from one-year full-time or two-year part-time programmes. Both involve a number of modules, which include coursework, exams and a dissertation. A Masters is a great way to build on your knowledge, prepare for a research degree, gain a vocational qualification or even change career.

Funding your Masters

To help you afford your studies, we’ve put more than £33 million into student support and scholarships. We also offer a range of advice on searching for funding and managing your finances.

We want to welcome the brightest talent to our postgraduate community. That’s why our Birmingham Masters Scholarships award £2,000 to more than 200 students each year. We offer a variety of other subject and University scholarships, with further support for alternative degree funding.
