Our course accredited by The British Psychological Society (BPS) opens doors to various opportunities and further education within the field of psychology. We have derived the content for the programme from the BPS/QAA benchmark stipulations for psychology. The programme will provide a broad-based academic education in psychology enabling graduates to gain Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society.
Our course is delivered entirely online by e-learning and Virtual Learning Environments. There is no physical attendance requirement, allowing you to take charge of your own learning. You’ll typically learn through ‘mini lectures’ (available as video presentations), online discussions, readings from core e-texts, and other forms of learning activity.
The programme will introduce you to the key areas and components of psychological theory, contemporary and methodological issues, and research and how these apply to society and human behaviour. The programme develops your understanding and critical approach to areas of psychology theory through in depth study into the core areas of the BPS curriculum. Through the dissertation project and one option module, you will have the opportunity to focus your studies on specific areas of the psychology curriculum that speak to the developed interests and career aspirations.
