Our MSc Strength and Conditioning course prepares you to support athletes, clients and teams at the highest level – from injury prevention and rehabilitation to elite performance enhancement. Our industry-relevant curriculum is built around inclusive, evidence-based practice. You’ll gain experience using advanced sport science equipment and develop your research capabilities through an independent project. Our teaching team includes internationally recognised experts – including practitioners who have supported Team GB and contributed to over 40 medals at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
You’ll also complete a professional work placement through the Applied Practitioner in Sport and Exercise module. While it’s your responsibility to source a placement, we’ll support you throughout the process. You’ll even get to draw upon our long-standing partnerships with leading clubs and sporting organisations, offering you a range of opportunities to expand your connections and develop skills in the real world.
You’ll need a UK honours degree – at least a 2.2 undergraduate degree in a related area, including but not limited to, Sport and Exercise Sciences, Sport Coaching, Health Sciences, Physiology, Human Biology, or Human Movement; or in an area of study accompanied by professional or personal experience. Applicants with relevant extensive professional experience in this field will be considered for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Accredited Prior Experience (APE) entrance, even if they do not have the required qualifications.
