Ravensbourne has been awarded a silver rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023, in recognition of our ‘very high’ to ‘outstanding’ student outcomes and ‘high quality’ student experience.

The TEF is a national scheme that aims to encourage higher education providers to improve and deliver excellence in various areas. It is run by the Office for Students (OfS).

Ratings are assessed in two parts: ‘student outcomes’ and ‘student experience’. The panel awarded Ravensbourne silver for ‘student outcomes’ and bronze for ‘student experience’, with a silver rating overall.

These ratings were awarded in 2023, for four years.

A TEF silver rating is given to institutions where student experience and outcomes are typically very high quality, with some areas of outstanding features.

Andy Rees, Dean, said: “We are delighted that the hard work to ensure our students flourish and succeed has been recognised in this silver rating.

“We were particularly pleased that our work on student progression was found to be outstanding.

“Going forward, we are looking at ways to make further improvements and ensure that all our students have the best possible experience and success during, and beyond, their time with us.”
