The Postgraduate degrees at Cardiff School of Art & Design are designed to extend creative and philosophical enquiry, delivered through the development of research and practice-based research projects.

All postgraduate programmes within Cardiff School of Art & Design are informed by the research of the staff and the research communities within the school.

There are three distinct modes of study:

• The federal Master’s scheme* where students work through bespoke and multi-disciplinary modules acting as catalysts for each other to promote research and innovations within art and design.
• The MRes Master of Research in Art & Design is ideal for students who want to prepare for doctoral level research in Art & Design (PhD or Professional Doctorate).
• The MSc Product Design is a practically based, taught master’s programme with excellent industry links and a focus on enhancing the employability of its graduates.
