Acknowledging the essential technical skills is just one aspect of the new engineer’s toolkit. Through our degree programmes, you’ll cultivate a multidisciplinary understanding of applying theory in real-world scenarios. Moreover, you’ll develop the ability to navigate the dynamic landscape of today’s environment from the perspective of a technical specialist. Our degrees are designed to equip graduates with the skills to navigate not only technical innovation but also organisational change, leadership, and management within the sector.
Some of our programmes have been developed jointly by the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, so you will benefit from being taught by a wide range of academics and experts.
Located on the stunning Bay Campus, a £450 million development set against the picturesque backdrop of Swansea Bay, our facilities comprise seven purpose-built buildings. These structures house over 30,000m2 of laboratory and office space, as well as more than £10 million worth of state-of-the-art research and teaching equipment.

Some of our programmes are supported by an industry board made up of leaders from a variety of backgrounds and organisations to ensure that we keep our subject matters relevant and up to date. Our partnership with industry means that students are provided with real strategic challenges and scenarios to work on, as well as solid recommendations and solutions to strengthen their learning, understanding and problem-solving ability.
We understand that the cost of your studies is one of the most important factors when deciding on a postgraduate degree. That’s why we offered over £12 million in postgraduate scholarships last year. Find out what funding opportunities may be available to you.
