The Edinburgh MBA is delivered by a world-renowned university ranked 22nd in the QS World University Rankings 2024 and by a Business School that is triple accredited by AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.

The MBA programme flexes to fit the needs of students through a range of study options, welcoming new members to an expansive, international network. Whether staying with your current organisation or looking for your next step, the Edinburgh MBA will enhance your career potential, drive focus in your strategic pursuits, and guide your path forward in today’s ever more uncertain world.

The Edinburgh MBA

The Edinburgh MBA programme offers four study options:

  • The Full-Time MBA offers a dynamic, intensive opportunity for progression over 12 months. There are two variants to this MBA – one based entirely in Edinburgh and the other including an international exchange.
  • The Executive MBA provides a more flexible programme structure and the ability to balance studies with work. This part-time MBA is studied over 28 months, with the next entry for this flagship programme in December 2024.
  • The new Online MBA allows you to experience the benefits of our top-grade teaching from wherever you are in the world. Studied over 2 years and 9 months, this is a part-time and fully-online programme.

A Unique Programme

Through collaborative learning and holistic coursework across business and strategy acumen, you will build the skills needed to achieve your greatest aspirations and face future challenges.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • Strategic leadership as an approach to achieving success in a rapidly changing environment
  • The nature and complexity of the global challenges facing businesses
  • Key concepts and tools in finance, accounting, marketing, organisation, and operations
  • How markets and international economies function
  • The responsibilities of businesses as stewards of financial, social, and natural capital
  • How to challenge existing models and develop creative strategies for an increasingly competitive market

Professional Development

An integrated professional development programme will hone your soft skills for more effective communication, influence, and leadership. You will study the habits of successful business leaders and recognised industry experts who share their experiences in the classroom.

You will work with leading diagnostic tools and engage in one-on-one feedback sessions as you build your own self-awareness and hone your skills in negotiation, presenting and public speaking, crisis communication, project management, and more.

Engagement with Business

In our MBA programme, knowledge exchange and the application of theory to real-world challenges take priority.

Extensive links across industries, professional organisations, and our alumni network enable a range of consultancy and shared research projects.

Through these projects valuable connections are made, tactical experience is extended, and, as projects are debated back in the classroom, learning ignites.

Collaboration not only underpins our approach to learning – it is central to our ties with global business.
