Description

At UCL Space and Climate Physics, we’re pushing forward the boundaries of space science research. Collaborating with top engineers, our scientists and research students are building and testing instruments for space, including many that are helping to explore planets, comets and the wider solar system on major space missions.

UCL's Space and Climate Physics Department, incorporating the Mullard Space Science Laboratory, is a world-leading research organisation and one of the largest university space science groups in the UK.

MSSL hardware has been on over 300 space missions since 1957 and been placed in orbit around Earth, Mars, Venus, Saturn as well as visiting comets passing through the solar system.

With a vibrant research community, bringing together academics with real-world experience from across multiple disciplines – UCL offers the ideal environment in which to pursue Master’s level study in this rapidly-evolving field. Our students have gone onto leading positions with employers like ESA and Airbus, while others have progressed onto a PhD.

Our programmes:

  •  MSc in Space Science and Engineering: Space Science
