Description

We recognise the importance that innovation and research have for our university as well as for the wider national and international landscapes. Our research is having a real-world impact and is pushing the boundaries in how we understand the creative arts, nursing practices, chronic pain, DNA, education and so much more.

We are at the forefront of discoveries and we want you to be part of our journey. These events include our Postgraduate Student Research Conference, Professorial Inaugural Lectures, research cafes and research centre seminars.

We also have a comprehensive training programme for our PGR students that help you complete your doctorate and prepare for a future career. The training is organised into three main phases of your research degree: beginning, middle and completion. Our training is tailored to your needs and includes a focus on research methods and tools, research ethics, research management, public engagement and research impact.

Plus, once you are in a position to think about what comes after your research degree, we have a dedicated careers team on hand to advise you of your options.
