Students at the School of Health and Social Care have access to the new cutting-edge technology at  Swansea University Simulation (SUSIM). SUSIM is a world-leading simulation and immersive learning centre which includes simulated Patient actors, Manikin based simulation ranging from low to high technology resources, Hybrid simulation (a mix of multiple methods), augmented, virtual, and assisted realities and computer based simulation. The facility also boasts Immersive wall simulation suites that provide 360 video/audio and even have smell boxes to help increase the realism and immersion to enhance all forms of simulation and interprofessional learning opportunities through the replication of real-world experiences. These simulation suites offer realistic environments for hands-on practice, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application, which is crucial for ensuring that graduates are well-prepared in the future when they face health and social care challenges.
