Description

The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Cyber-Physical Risk is a national PhD research training centre, based at University College London (UCL), dedicated to addressing the rapidly evolving security challenges emerging from the convergence of cyber and physical systems. The CDT trains future leaders capable of analysing, forecasting, and mitigating hybrid threats in a world defined by hyperconnectivity, automation, and AI-driven infrastructures. 

Our course offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of cyber-physical security. You will join a cohort-based training environment, gaining the technical, analytical, and socio-political understanding needed to address complex real-world risks. We prepare graduates for high-impact careers across security, technology, policy, and research.

Funding

The CDT has fully funded studentships available, covering tuition fees, an annual stipend of approx £31,000, and and a generous amount to cover project and conference travel costs. Please note that this funding is currently only available to full-time students eligible for UK rates.
